Bring balance to your 'sen'.

In the Thai healing system energy lines are known as ‘sen’. The sen lines are conduits.  They are able to connect and move substances and sensations from one place to another.  The sen are pathways for prana to flow.  Prana is a Sanskrit word for ‘life force’ or ‘vital energy’.

What is 'Life Force Energy'?

Humans usually associate the word ‘energy’ with finer vibrations.  Colour, light, heat and sound are all energy.  Take your mobile phone; it rings, you answer it and talk to a person anywhere in the world without any physical connection.  When we think of energy we generally think of these examples.  We can’t see the electric vibrations, but we can see and hear what they do.

Then there is the solid stuff.  We see something, know where it is, but we don’t see what it does.  We call this ‘matter’.  It is solid, sturdy and reliable.  A house, car or piece of chocolate, all fall into the category of matter.

What’s the connection between energy and matter?

There might be a tree outside your workplace, for instance, and a tree (matter) needs nourishment to grow: soil, water and sun (energy).  Our body is no different.  Let’s examine the idea.

First there is matter: bones, flesh, blood and organs all made up of billions of cells.  When we humans look in the mirror, this is what we see: a body, our body, and this is what we tend to identify with.  The body in the mirror is who we are.  We take wonderful care of what we see: applying creams, lotions, eating healthily and exercising.  We think, ‘I’m looking after myself.’  Occasionally, matter (the body), causes problems: parts break down, bruise or don’t function properly.

Problems, though, can also be created in other ways.  Have you ever said, ‘I have little energy’, ‘I’m exhausted’, or ‘I feel depleted’, even though nothing is physically wrong with you.  These feelings are not related to the physical part of your body – they’re a separate innate feeling.

That’s because we also have finer, faster vibrations in our body, referred to as ‘energy’ or ‘life-force’.  In other languages and traditions this is called ki, chi or prana.

And so several complementary healing arts have been developed to balance the body (matter) and the feelings (energy).  I encourage you to experience Reiki and rebalance your body naturally.

Reiki utilises this vital energy to clear our energetic conduits or pathways that are often blocked and need clearing bringing balance back to our physical and spiritual body.

Reiki has many positive benefits.  It increases energy levels; makes you feel relaxed; decreases pain and tension; and brings balance to your mental and emotional state while connecting you to yourself, where holistic healing begins.  

Reiki is a non-invasive treatment that can help you manage anxiety, stress, depression, grief, insomnia, bodily pains and other life challenges.

Renee will use the power of Reiki to connect the energetic and physical body to promote healing and balance. She utilises your life force energy to assist in clearing any blockages that are suppressed and helps you to connect to your body’s own intelligence.

Thai Yoga Massage

A Thai Yoga Massage treatment is a perfect blend of yoga, massage and meditation.

Thai Yoga Massage is received fully clothed on a large supportive mat, allowing ease of movement and flexibility.  There are no oils or lotions used for this style of massage.  Techniques are performed on client’s hands, arms, shoulders, head, face, neck, back, feet, legs, glutes and abdomen.

Suggested attire for receiving your massage are comfortable, stretchy yoga tights or baggy pants and a short or long sleeved t-shirt and clean cotton socks.

Before the massage begins, Renee will welcome you to the space and ask you to complete a registration and consent form.  The techniques will be explained and the duration of the massage confirmed.  We have a discussion regarding your state of health or injuries as well as your desired outcome and preferred massage pressure.  This will ensure you are well-cared for during your massage.

Yoga is a practice that goes beyond fancy poses.

Yoga is a life science connecting mind, body and soul through the vitality of breath.  It is an opportunity for you to find stillness on the mat, listen to messages from your body and flow mindfully through a well rounded practice incorporating movement, breath control, meditation and relaxation.

I blend the fundamental physical postures of Hatha yoga to promote a dynamic slow flow.  A great practice for beginners and anyone looking for an aligned state of ‘being’ between mind and body.

These sessions are great if you want to:

  • create space and restore calm
  • release stress and tension
  • move mindfully
  • promote restful sleep
  • create balance in the mind and body

Yoga (Online)

Join our slow flow yoga classes from the comfort of your own home and experience how the art of yoga can transform your day.

Yoga classes are now also held virtually via the video platform Zoom.  Use your own laptop, desktop, phone, tablet, smart TV or any device with internet connection and join us from your home to mine.  

Yoga (In-Person)

I will lead you in different variations that will suit where you are currently at in your yoga practice.  You will not feel overwhelmed or left behind throughout the class.

In this unique experience Renee will fuse together Yoga fundamentals and relaxation techniques like mediation and more to support your specific needs. Her manifestation is to help you improve your wellbeing, feel good about yourself, find your passion for life and experience a deep connection with your inner self.
